Reeses History

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are a brand of candy filled with peanut butter, marketed by The Hershey Co. They were created in 1928 by Harry Burnett Reese, a former dairy farmer and shipping foreman for Milton S. Hershey. Reese was inspired by Hershey, so he left the dairy farm to start his own candy business. The H. B. Reese Candy Co. was established in the basement of Reese's house in Hershey, Pennsylvania and used Hershey chocolate in his confections. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups were his most popular candy, and Reese eventually discontinued his other lines. Several years after his death, Reese's company was sold to the Hershey Company in 1963 for $23.5 million. The H.B. Reese Company is maintained as a subsidiary of Hershey because the Reese plant workforce is not unionized, unlike the main Hershey plant.

Twizzler History

Twizzlers are a popular brand of fruit-flavored candy in the U.S. and Canada (often called a Licorice Candy). Twizzlers is the product of Y&S Candies, Inc., of lancaster pennsylvania, now a subsidiary of The Hershey Co.

Since 1999, Twizzlers have been manufactured in Memphis, Tennessee, in a Y&S plant that also makes chewing gum and other candies. From 1970 through 1999, it was previously manufactured at a plant in Farmington, New Mexico, but relocated the operation to Memphis because of rising transportation costs. Y&S Candies, the manufactures of TWIZZLERS candy, is one of the oldest confectionery firms in the United States. The company was established in 1845 as Young and Smylie, and adopted Y&S as its trademark in 1870. National Licorice Company was created in 1902 through the merger of three small firms: Young & Smylie, S.V. & F.P. Schudder and H.W. Petherbridge. The company changed its name to Y&S candies Inc. in 1968 and was acquired by Hershey Foods in 1977.

My favorite candy.

Everyone loves candy, but nobody can like every single candy. they have to have favorite candies. I love candy, and here are my favorite types of candy.
              One of my favorite candies are resses peanut butter cups, they are the perfect combination of chocolate and peanut butter. but I don't like their dark chocolate ones though.
               Another favorite candy of mine would have to be starbursts, they are just so fruity and delicious, and just like the ads, a pack full of contradictions.
                Another candy I like are similar to starbursts, but not exactly like them. They are skittles, and if you eat all the flavors at once, i bet that is what a rainbow tastes like.
                All these candies are very tasty but my absolute favorite one would have to be twizzlers, those twirled up strawberry flavored licorice are so tasty and fun to use as straws too.
